Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data PrediCalcio collects, why, and the rights you have over it. We only collect what we need to run the game, and we never sell your data.
1. Who we are
PrediCalcio ("we", "us") runs a skill-based football prediction game. We are the controller of the personal data described below. For any privacy question or request, contact us at predicalcio@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
When you register we collect your first name, last name, username, email address and phone number. As you play, we store your match predictions and the points they earn. Our login provider also keeps basic technical data needed to secure your account (for example, sign-in timestamps).
3. Why we use it
We use your data only to: create and secure your account; run the competition (predictions, scoring, leaderboards, mini-leagues); and contact you about the competition. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
4. Legal basis
We process your data on two bases under the GDPR: your consent, which you give when you tick the box at registration and can withdraw at any time; and performance of the game you have asked to take part in.
5. Who can see it
Your username and points are visible to other players on leaderboards and in any mini-leagues you join. Your name, email and phone are not shown to other players — they are visible only to the PrediCalcio administrators (and, for a mini-league, the league's commissioner can see member usernames). Your data is stored using Supabase (database and login) and Vercel (hosting), which act as our processors. Our football data provider receives no personal data about you.
6. Where it is stored
Your data is stored on servers in the European Union (Supabase, EU region).
7. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, or ask us to delete your data, we remove your account and associated data promptly.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it ("right to be forgotten"), restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. You can delete your account yourself from the Change Password page, or contact us at predicalcio@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
9. Cookies
We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
10. Children
PrediCalcio is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to players, and the date above will be updated.
